3D Technical Artist (Senior) @ Draw & Code

Are you a senior tech artist looking for a new challenge, or a midweight ready to step up and take on greater responsibilities? Draw & Code are growing, and looking for creative and talented individuals to join our dedicated video game development team to help us create the next generation of great games.

You’ll be working on projects for VR, mobile devices and game consoles, as well as exploring cutting edge emerging platforms - your technical knowhow, problem solving ability and artistic flair means that you’re always ready to create incredible visuals no matter the situation.

You’ll be designing, developing and integrating shaders, new tools, post processing, and VFX as you continuously strive to improve our games and development workflow. You have an eye for detail, and you understand the importance of optimisation - improving performance and guiding your teammates on industry and platform best practises.

You’ll be prepared and excited to take ownership of your projects and champion the development and maintenance of clear and accurate procedural and technical documentation. You’re always on the lookout for new tools (and toys!), and love to collaborate on R&D exercises and exploration.

The ideal candidate will have at least one shipped commercial video game under their belt, and 3+ years experience working in Virtual Reality or on PC/Console games within the Unity game engine. However, we’re open to all applications - if you have had a non-traditional route into the games industry, we’d still love to hear from you!

Draw & Code are an equal opportunity employer, and pride ourselves on our diverse team. We offer a remote/hybrid working environment, with opportunities to work from home, our central Liverpool studio in the UK, and our brand new R&D hub in Malta! We look after our team, with regular socials, coffee deliveries and more!
