About the Role:

 

The Director of Aviation Operations is primarily responsible for liaising between the CEO and the Administrative team. This role involves working with the CEO, Operations, HR, Payroll, and Scheduling to establish and drive the organizational vision, operational strategy, and staffing levels. Additionally, the Director of Operations translates the strategy into actionable steps for growth, implements organization-wide goal setting and performance management, and oversees company operations and employee productivity. This role is critical to creating an inclusive culture, ensuring team members thrive, and meeting organizational outcomes. Furthermore, the position maintains responsibility and accountability within the team, focusing on long-term growth and efficiency. The Director of Operations is crucial in strategically supporting the US Airports and Customer Experience Strategy, driving a cohesive operations strategy, coordinating the company-wide ECX strategy, promoting collaboration, and executing delegated authority to advance Elite Team Logistics' operational objectives.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversee the administrative teams including Operations, HR, Payroll, and Scheduling.
  • Partner with CEO on sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted to achieve growth targets in the near term.
  • Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary and prepare detailed current reports and forecasts.

Position Duties:

  • Ensure effective professional development, performance management, and retention while offering development and guidance to the current admin staff.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
  • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
  • Drive year-over-year productivity improvement in each Department.
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term objectives, developed in collaboration with the CEO and other team members as needed.
  • Oversee and continually develop security measures.
  • Build trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the overall design, development, and delivery of learning and development programs within Elite Team Logistics.
  • Assess and evaluate training program effectiveness.
  • Oversee Airline Audits.
  • Oversee and continually develop security measures.
  • Partner with the Director of Security and CEO to assist with TSA corrective actions.

Location and Commitments:

Position Requirements:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field, accompanied by experience in a consultancy role.
  • At least ten years of senior leadership experience in operations.
  • Demonstrated track record of strategic planning and execution in a complex, multinational organization.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience principles and methodologies, with the ability to translate customer insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data and metrics analysis to drive decision-making and continuous improvement, leveraging analytics tools and methodologies to optimize customer experience.
  • Previous experience working with top-tier clients is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated capability to influence others and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring project completion without direct authority.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a solid track record of effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across various levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency in synthesizing complex information and articulately communicating it.
  • Ability to make decisions aligned with the company's long-term goals, rising above details to see the broader strategic picture
  • Help manage HRIS system within Salesforce
  • Proficient in working in high-pressure environments and making critical decisions.
  • Transferable skills from diverse backgrounds are highly valued.
