We are looking for a number of experienced and enthusiastic Events Assistants to join our Events team at Enable! This is a unique and exciting opportunity to deliver memorable events such as weddings, functions, community and stakeholder events across our event sites.

Reports to: Events Operations and Venues Manager

Based: Battersea

Salary: £15.52 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Contract: Casual 

DBS: Basic 

  

 

Role Overview: 

Reporting to the Events Operations and Venues Manager, the Events Assistant will be responsible for assisting with set ups across a variety of events, providing excellent customer service and support the Duty Managers to deliver successful events. This person will have proven experience and a passion for delivering unforgettable events and must be available at least 2-3 shifts per week during the spring/summer season.

   

The Events Team are a busy, creative, tight knit group of vibrant professionals who are looking for someone to join the team who pride themselves in 5 start customer service and going the extra mile for their clients. In the Events Team we celebrate creative problem solving, autonomy and integrity in our approach to work. 

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Assisting with set ups and break downs across a variety of events 
  • Providing 5-star customer service  
  • Supporting the Duty Managers and event organisers to deliver successful events which go above and beyond the client's expectations  
  • Dealing with client queries and troubleshooting to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently 
  • Early mornings will involve supervising and coordinating suppliers to ensure that they adhere to park/venue rules and set up in a safe, secure and timely manner  
  • Late nights will involve supervising guests to ensure that they leave safely, and all suppliers are off-site in a timely manner before securing the venue 
  • Late nights will also involve supervising and overseeing suppliers who are breaking down equipment or catering staff who are packing down, ensuring the venue is left in a safe and acceptable condition-in accordance with the T&Cs of client contracts 
  • Effectively communicating event handovers to the Duty Managers or event organisers if needed, including all important and relevant information  
  • Assisting with the physical set up and dismantling of events if needed and ensuring all event equipment and vehicles as returned in good condition 
  • Completing End of Day reports if a Duty Manager is not present and reporting any damages, incidents, accidents or any other issues that may affect client deposits to senior management 

 

The successful candidate will have 

  • Proven experience working on events  
  • Confidence to work independently and take charge of any situations that may arise 
  • Experience of supervising and communicating with suppliers 
  • Passion for delivering unforgettable events  
  • Exceptionally high standards of customer service, attention to detail and organisational skills  
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally face to face with senior management, other staff, clients and members of the public  
  • Patience and ability to negotiate professionally with suppliers  
  • Hands on and proactive onsite manner and pride yourself on going the extra mile to create the best event possible  
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively  
  • Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings and late nights as required and able to manage your time accordingly  
  • Hold a full manual UK driving licence (preferable but not mandatory)
