IT Support Technician
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Role Overview
We seek a proactive and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of our computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves working closely with our external IT provider, Oryxalign, to provide comprehensive technical support and solutions. Your efforts will be crucial to our success, and you'll report directly to our Chief Financial Officer. While your primary responsibilities include the following, they will evolve over time to align with your professional growth:
Responsibilities
- As an IT Support Technician at Enable Leisure and Culture, you will be responsible for installing and configuring new IT equipment and software, setting up workstations, and regularly updating systems for security and efficiency. Your role is crucial in ensuring technological tools are functioning optimally to support the organisation's smooth operation.
- You will provide technical support and troubleshooting, swiftly addressing IT issues and queries from staff and clients, and resolving hardware or software faults. Your expertise will be key in maintaining the productivity and efficiency of the organisation by efficiently diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- In collaboration with Oryxalign, our external IT provider, you will help implement IT strategies and solutions, ensuring effective integration with internal systems. This role involves facilitating communication and coordination between internal teams and external partners, enhancing our IT capabilities.
- Your duties will also include system maintenance and upgrades, involving regular checks, planning, and executing system upgrades, and ensuring data backups. Managing the functionality and connectivity of mobile devices and printers is an integral part of this responsibility, ensuring seamless operation and accessibility for all staff.
- Managing and maintaining local and wide area networks, and monitoring network performance to ensure system reliability and availability will be a significant part of your role. Your management of the network infrastructure is essential for supporting the organisation's day-to-day operations effectively.
- As part of your role, you will assist in the creation of new user accounts, manage account changes, and handle the setup for new users and departing employees. Additionally, you will actively participate in projects established to deliver key business initiatives, demonstrating your ability to contribute to broader organisational goals beyond routine IT support tasks.
Your skills
- Experience in IT Support environment
- Demonstrable experience of providing on-site support
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Support and provide expertise of the evolving Microsoft 365 suite of products, self-learning and self-training new products and services when applicable.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with external IT service providers.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy
- Good written verbal and communication skills
