Reports to: Health and Wellbeing Project Manager 

Based: London/Elements of remote working 

Salary: £35,285 per annum

Role Overview

 

MPower by Enable is a new innovative service developed to support people experiencing menopause symptoms through health coaching. The service offers bespoke, one-to-one, health coaching to organisations to support their employees.

 

MPower by Enable offers one-to-one health coaching sessions with a dedicated menopause health coach who will support clients by exploring outcomes and goals, increasing autonomy and motivation via specific tools which enable them to feel more positive and capable in the self-management of their symptoms.

 

The successful candidate will join our Health and Wellbeing Team, will be someone who is passionate about empowering women and women’s health and who has experience of delivering community support across London. The role will be working across London, with the future potential to work UK wide, exploring opportunities and partnerships which hit service KPI’s and targets. The role will lead in scaling and sustaining the service London wide.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Development Manager to work closely with the Health and Wellbeing Project Manager and the MPower by Enable team to identify and cultivate sales opportunities and partnerships. In this role, you will lead the development of the service and partnerships, playing a key role in nurturing these relationships to maximise impact of the service. Further to this, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the service and line managing the menopause health coaches. You’ll be a self-starter who is comfortable reaching out to cold prospects, creative with your development plans and able to communicate complex impact data to a lay audience.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Develop new business and identify new prospects for partnerships at five and six figure level or relevant commercial experience.
  • Write compelling proposals and presentations to secure new partnerships and business.
  • Work with the Enable Business Development team to develop and work towards licensing opportunities to scale up and sustain the service across the UK.
  • Support Marketing and internal teams at Enable with brand information and materials.
  • Manage the successful delivery of the service, with support from the Health and Wellbeing Project Manager.
  • Manage a team of staff to help deliver the programme, ensuring staff are motivated and appropriately supported. Conduct regular supervision meetings, performance development reviews and other key meetings to promote learning and development.
  • Forecast and manage programme budgets, monitoring income and expenditure, according to Enable policy and procedure. Prepare and lead on developing proposals for existing programmes to secure future funding.
  • Communicate and provide highly complex information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Nurture key relationships and maintain networks internally and externally, including national networks. This includes building relationships with wide range of supporting organisations, third sector groups that may provide services of benefit to individuals experiencing the menopause.
  • Collect and record outcome, monitoring and impact data using required systems, contributing to the evaluation of the service and working with external evaluators.
  • Keep up to date with key changes in the health and social care sector in order to shape and develop the service, including those relating to good practice and policy.
  • Work with Health and Wellbeing Project Manager to identify your own support needs and undertake continual personal and professional development.

Person Specification 

 

  • Experience in developing new business and prospects for partnerships at five and six figure level  
  • Experience in identifying, developing and managing relationships with both private and public sector organisations 
  • Experience in pitching and presenting to secure partnerships  
  • Experience in managing a health and wellbeing service or similar service for at least 1 year, including line management.  
  • Experience in communicating information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of motivations for corporate wellbeing support and partnerships.  
  • Knowledge of the stages of menopause and awareness of non-medical support available and how lifestyle behaviours impact on health and long-term conditions. 
  • Knowledge of the wider determinants of health, including social, economic and environmental factors.  
  • Understanding of personalisation, health coaching and the skills required to support self-care.  
  • An understanding of the principles of confidentiality and how these apply when handling service-user information. 
  • Excellent ability to adapt and work flexibly as a service evolves. Able to work effectively with others in an open and collaborative way, valuing differences and contributing to a working environment which helps to achieve goals. 
  • Excellent ability to use Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and other online client monitoring systems or tools as required.   
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen actively and build excellent rapport with people from all backgrounds.  
  • Communication skills, verbal and written; able to communicate in a meaningful way and develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.   
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills. 
  • Able to collect and record data to enable the monitoring of key performance indicators, reporting on them as and when required. 
  • Able to work unsupervised to meet agreed outcomes, targets and deadlines. 
  • Ability to identify risk, assess and manage risk when working with patients.   
  • Able to demonstrate personal accountability, emotional resilience and ability to work well under pressure.
