We are looking to hire a talented and energetic Materials testing technician to drive and support the growth of our Geotechnical/ Materials discipline. Your experience and communication skills will allow you to grow in a challenging, fun and dynamic team environment.

Field technician

Field technicians support geotechnical engineering and materials design through observation and testing needs.

Responsibilities:

Perform soil, concrete and asphalt field tests.
Compare test results per project specifications.
Provide guidance to clients on construction sites based on test results received.
Communicate daily with project managers and complete field paperwork daily.
Maintain and calibrate field equipment.
Perform laboratory testing
Perform geotechnical drilling and sampling

Requirements:

Experience with soil, concrete or testing and procedures preferred, not required.
CSA and Nuclear Gage Certifications preferred, not required.
General knowledge of soil & aggregate classifications and testing preferred, not required.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently.
An insurable driving record and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Experience:

One year materials testing experience is preferred, not required. CSA, Nuclear Gage, Technology degree are preferred, not required. We can train and assistance candidate with earning certifications, if the candidate demonstrates high integrity and interest to learn.
