We tailor our offerings to other businesses and organizations looking to advertise in the real world, which includes company apparel and branded goods. We are pleased to be looking for a General Manager to join our growing team!
Position Summary
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. This includes liaising between customers and vendors, purchasing products and apparel, and working with external decorators on customized designs. The General Manager will also ensure a positive customer experience end to end. This position will work alongside the President on business strategy and development.
List of Main Responsibilities
Purchasing
- Researching potential products, vendors, and services and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal
- Creating and sending purchase orders
- Liaising with vendors to ensure goods are received on time
- Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock
- Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely
- Updating all records of purchased products
- Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods
Decoration
- Lead the coordination of design efforts with clients
- Prepare the details of the job to send art to decorators, communicating and specific details needed for the design (types of apparel, mock-up, placement, location, size of art, etc.)
- Work with the decorator through any questions or specifications
- Review the quality and accuracy of the finished product
Customer Service
- Build relationships with clients through order process
- Work with clients to design and finalize the product
- Share any updates/ questions from vendors/ decorators with client during production
- Provide update to client about status or product
- Consistently communicate with the client through the production process
- Solve customer pain points, ensure products get delivered without damages, and minimize packaging materials/waste
Business Strategy/ Development
- Audit processes & procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies
- Overseeing daily operations of the business
- Creating new strategies for growth and putting them into practice
- Training new staff, hiring new employees, managing employee performance
- Evaluating overall productivity and performance and implementing strategies for improvement
- Reporting on business and employee performance
List of Key Qualifications
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Knowledge of ordering supplies and inventory control of these items
- Adaptable to changing priorities in an entrepreneurial environment
- Knowledge of entrepreneurial best practices, small businesses, marketing, data management and strategies
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to function well in a high-paced work environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; must maintain a professional manner and customer service mindset
- Positive and engaging individual who is relationship-driven and sets the energy of the team
- Basic computer skills including MS Excel, Word and e-mail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
- 1+ year of leadership experience
- 5+ years work of experience in office administration, management or similar experience
- Uniform, decoration promotional product experience are considered an asset
This position offers a comprehensive performance bonus program in addition to the base salary
