As a Senior Front-End Engineer, your role will be crucial in engineering the user interface to our platform product, The Findest Universe—our digital home to R&D professionals. You'll drive its front-end architecture and develop easy-to-use interfaces that allow users to synthesize reports, evaluate innovations, and explore new cutting-edge technologies from science.
In your everyday role, you will:
- Develop and maintain user-facing features using React, JavaScript (JS), and TypeScript (TS).
- Develop the Findest design system, make reusable components, and create front-end libraries for future use.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across various web-capable devices and browsers.
- Optimize front-end performance to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Implement and maintain robust testing frameworks to ensure code quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.
- Manage your workflow effectively, including planning, prioritizing, and executing tasks.
- Contribute to the release process by preparing code for deployment, coordinating with team members, and ensuring smooth and timely releases.
- Assist with updating and maintaining deployment pipelines and related documentation.
- Modernize code to ensure it meets current standards and performance requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Solid experience (7+ years) in frontend development, with a strong focus on React.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with writing tests for React using tools such as React Testing Library and Jest.
- Experience with real-time web applications using websockets or similar technologies such as SignalR.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale web applications.
- Strong understanding of web performance, security, and best practices.
- Experience in designing and developing scalable web applications to support growth.
- Experience with state management such as Redux or Context API.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions or similar.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate ideas and efficiently collaborate with internal teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
