We are a new and innovative health club seeking an Event Coordinator. This position is essential for enhancing membership by attracting and engaging prospects and members outside and within our wellness space. The role involves promoting classes, events and workshops, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving marketing, communications, and branding efforts. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in marketing and promotions, a passion for fitness, and a proven ability to create and nurture community connections.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Community Development: Recruit and enroll prospective clients. Foster a vibrant fitness community.
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, including branding, social media, website development, and physical media for attracting new prospects and activating existing members.
- Event Planning: Schedule, plan, and host promotional events to attract prospective members.
- Operational Coordination: Manage competitive market analysis and maintaining the environment and calendar.
- Member Management: Support member inquiries, communications, and sales
- Networking: Build relationships with local businesses and organizations, showcase the club, and give tours.
- Market Research: Conduct market research, implement outreach marketing, and ensure the club has the appropriate social media presence.
- Client Outreach: Research and identify potential clients, generate new business leads through various channels, and execute effective outreach strategies.
- Managing attendees: Ensure attendees have a positive experience by managing registration, providing information, and addressing their needs.
- Plan and organize events from concept to execution, including establishing event objectives, developing event concepts, creating and managing timelines, booking venues, and coordinating logistics
- Promote and market events by developing marketing strategies, creating event collateral, utilizing social media and online platforms, creating public relations and coordinating with the marketing team
- Conduct post-event evaluation and follow-ups, assessing the event’s success by collecting feedback, analyzing available data, and preparing post-event reports
- Strategic development of an ongoing calendar of events and activations to improve community and audience engagement
- Provide suggestions on how to improve the event implementation strategy
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in event planning and promotions
- Strong marketing and sales skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to enhancing client satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills - the ability to assess situations, make informed decisions, and adapt plans as needed is important when encountering unexpected challenges
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to details.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders and be skilled at building relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms; ability to learn new tools as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality management, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in the fitness and wellness industry is highly desired.

Compensation package: Salary + Bonus= $45,000- $85,000
