Mission


At Flowbird, the Software QA supervises the testing process within the development teams. He/she participates in the
review of requirements and writes tests to verify their implementation in the software solution. He/she provides data to
determine and measure the quality of the overall software system before it goes into production. He/she is also required
to carry out exploratory test campaigns to finalize the search for faults in the system. Global knowledge of the system is
required to carry out these missions successfully.


This job description is not exhaustive, and the incumbent may be asked by management to carry out additional tasks.

 

 

Significant activities:


● Activities common to the testing professions :
○ Reading/understanding the requirements to be tested.
○ Writing tests.
○ Participation in test plan development.
○ Execute manual and/or automated tests.
○ Monitoring test execution.
○ Participate in the analysis of system and/or component defects.
○ Follow-up on defects detected during test campaigns.
○ Communicate test results.
○ Ensure knowledge sharing with the rest of the team.


● Activities specific to QA :
○ Active participation in requirements testability reviews.
○ Writing tests in Gherkin.
○ Supervision and synchronization of testing activities within the team.
○ Lead the development and supply of test plans.
○ Compile execution results.
○ Communication on system quality level.

 

 

Autonomy & responsibilities:
● Within the company's legal framework and in accordance with his or her workload, the QA is free to manage his
or her daily work schedule.
● The QA works on the functionalities assigned to him/her within the team.
● The QA is responsible for written test coverage according to the requirements provided.
● He/she is also responsible for following up defects detected during testing.
● Each QA must regularly present his or her work topics to the other QAs in order to share his or her knowledge.
● In accordance with defined priorities, the personal organization of tasks is carried out in complete autonomy.
● The QA is responsible for the final quality of the system.

Qualification
● Higher education in IT (software testing is a plus) or equivalent.
● 2 years' experience in software testing or software development
● ISTQB foundation certification recommended
● IREB and TMMi certifications are a plus
