TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER
Summary:
Flowbird is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join the Test Automation Chapter within R&D. Flowbird
supplies Smart Transport solutions around the world to government bodies who are looking to bring together
their Smart City systems including Public Transportation, Parking and more recently MaaS (Mobility as a
Service) to allow for a seamless experience for the public which will aid in efficient movements across the city
and minimise congestion and pollution!
The successful candidate will fill an exciting role in the growth areas of the company – we require a Test
Automation Engineer to help build our UK R&D Competence Centre which will be serving our Transport
Intelligence Business unit for Global projects. Working in a fully cross functional squad you will play a crucial
role in ensuring that the output of the team is of a consistent high quality. The main focus of the role is that the
quality of the released products is high, the amount of manual testing is minimised and most importantly the
number of bugs reaching latter environments is minimised. We are focussing on a ‘shift left’ mentality and this
role is pivotal.
Experience:
• Be able to demonstrate at least 1 years practical experience writing robust automated tests which align
to stated requirements.
• Sound understanding of BDD using Gherkin or similar tooling.
• Demonstration of previous experience testing for Non Functional requirements such as performance /
load testing etc
• Maintenance of tooling and environments to be able to execute the tests.
• The goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code
Technical Skills:
Essential Skill;
o Selenium
o Python / Robot Framework (or similar)

o Restful Interfaces (ability to stress not to develop)
o Micro Service Architecture (understanding not to develop)
o JSON Data Structures(ability to stress not to develop)

Our UK headquarters is based in Poole on the Dorset coast with its bustling quay, some of the best beaches in

links and close to both Bournemouth and Southampton international airports.
