This position interfaces with our customers during installation, repair and maintenance of their on and off street parking meters. They are the main point of service contact with assigned customers and ensure that products and services are promoted accordingly.
This position specifically covers the Los Angeles area and applicants currently residing in California are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned accounts for meter-generated events, warnings and alarms;
- Provide excellent customer service and care of equipment to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Technical troubleshooting, testing, installation, and software upgrade projects for meters and related systems, including support to other technicians and customers;
- Resolve and complete customer service requests with limited supervision.
- Serve as Flowbird’s subject matter expert and provide training and support to new customers and technicians as needed.
- Promptly and professionally update all assigned support tickets with troubleshooting steps and resolution of any issues and parts replaced;
- Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance on meters as required in each maintenance agreement;
- Replace damaged decals and remove graffiti if found on meters;
- Tag, log and track all parts that are replaced and installed into the meters;
- Maintain parts inventory;
- Clean and stock service vehicle daily;
- Assist other technicians as needed in or outside your region;
- Comply with all laws (including driving) and company policies, practices and procedures; and
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders.
Education/Experience:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training;
- Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Experience working with 12v DC powered systems, wireless data modems and unattended payment terminals such as vending machines.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily production/technical nature;
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time;
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds;
- Exposed to various weather conditions (i.e., rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.);
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials; and
- Operate a motor vehicle as required.
Travel Responsibilities:
- Travel regularly to customer sites;
- Occasional work and travel outside of the main geographical region of operation; and
- Possess and maintain an unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience and region.
