We are growing and looking for passionate bakers, baristas, supervisors, a senior marketing manager, and managers to join our Fresh Baguette team. We are seeking a dynamic team member to fill our position for a Full-Time Barista/Baker and a Full-Time Baker at its Alexandria, Virgnia bakery cafe (1101 King St, Alexandria, VA 22314).
As a barista/baker, you will have shifts as a barista or as a baker. As a Baker you will have shifts as a baker that includes barista tasks. This is an entry-level position. You will receive all necessary training to succeed.

Shifts
- Our shifts typically start as early as 4:45AM and end as late as 7PM, 7 days per week.
- Baking shifts: 4:45AM-12PM
- Morning shifts: 6AM-1PM
- Mid shifts: 9AM-4PM
- Afternoon shifts: 1PM-7PM
- 6-8 hour shift
- 5 Days a week including Saturday and Sunday
As a Barista/Baker or Baker you will be:

- Providing friendly and prompt customer service
- Cash and credit handling at the cash register in a fun and efficient manner
- Offering product recommendations
- Baking all types of breads and baked goods
- Preparing products for the next day baking
- Organizing the freezer and fridge
- Packing away all delivery items
- Setting up the bread display
- Cleaning the baking station
- Maintaining store safety, sanitation and proper food storage
- Making and serving baked goods, sandwiches, salads, breads, and pastries with care
- Paying close attention to the way products are displayed throughout the day and to the cleanliness of the store
- Creating long-term relationships with customers
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Open Availability including weekends
- Availability to work Holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.
- Strong Communication skills
- Reliable transportation to work--living within walking distance and/or not dependent on public transportation
- Commute of less than 25 minutes
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Experience working at a café or bakery is a plus
