fX Spine & Pain Center is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Information Processing Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing various types of patient information, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining effective records within our healthcare system. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.
Data Entry: Accurately input patient information, medical records, and other relevant data into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Documentation Management: Organize, maintain, and update patient files, ensuring all necessary documents are complete and filed correctly.
Communication: Coordinate with medical staff, patients, and administrative teams to verify patient information and resolve discrepancies in records.
Patient Scheduling: Assist with scheduling patient appointments and ensure that relevant information is entered into the system in a timely manner.
Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
Data Verification: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient records, including verifying insurance information and demographic data.
Report Generation: Assist with generating reports related to patient information and administrative data for internal and external use.
Other Duties: Perform other administrative tasks as required, including answering calls, managing office supplies, and supporting staff with data-related inquiries.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical office administration or health information management preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in data entry, office administration, or healthcare information processing is a plus.
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with EHR software and medical terminology preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Full-time or part-time position with regular office hours.
Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods.
Some exposure to medical office environment and patient interactions.
