We are looking for a Content Specialist to support, contribute, and learn in a high-paced, team agency environment. As a Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our clients' (and our own internal) online presence and brand awareness through compelling and engaging copywriting. Your expertise in crafting captivating content across various digital platforms will help us achieve our clients' marketing objectives and enhance their visibility. The right candidate will be eager to contribute, won't be afraid to take initiative, and will be able to work both independently and as an active member of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content Strategy Development: Help develop content strategies that align with clients' goals and target audiences.
- Content Creation: Create high-quality, original, and engaging copy for various digital platforms, including website copy, blog posts, social media content, email marketing campaigns, ad campaigns, and more.
- Content Calendar Management: Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent content delivery, timely updates, and a diverse range of content types that resonate with the target audience.
- Social Media Management: Oversee and manage social media accounts, creating captivating posts, responding to comments and inquiries, and monitoring social media trends to enhance brand presence.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights. Use data-driven insights to improve content strategy and achieve better results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design team and other team members to create multimedia content that aligns with marketing campaigns.
- Editing & Proofreading: Review and edit content produced by team members or freelancers to maintain consistent quality and brand voice.
- SEO Optimization: Implement SEO techniques in content creation to enhance organic visibility and drive traffic to clients' websites. Utilize relevant keywords, and metadata to optimize content for search engines.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, content marketing techniques, and digital marketing best practices to suggest innovative content strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Based in Maine or willing to relocate.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Experience as a Content Specialist, Copywriter, or similar role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. Must be a stickler for grammar.
- Familiar with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, analytics tools, email marketing platforms, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with various content formats, including blog posts, social media posts, ad campaigns, and email campaigns.
- Creative mindset and the ability to generate engaging content ideas tailored to different target audiences.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and is highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, and has a sense of humor.
- Working knowledge of marketing, ideally ecommerce, paid advertising, SEO, social media, online research, and proficiency in programs including: Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Docs and Sheets.
