Hire & Fly is partnering with a frontier AI research lab that operates at the intersection of machine learning, finance, and data intelligence. The Lab’s mission is to redefine investment research by combining AI-driven analysis with deep fundamental insight — empowering better, faster, and more predictive equity decisions.
We’re seeking an experienced Buy-Side Equity Analyst to contribute to both fundamental company research and AI-driven data labeling and modeling initiatives. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who thrives at the crossroads of finance and technology, and who’s eager to influence how AI is applied to generate alpha in public markets.
What You’ll Do
Conduct in-depth company and sector research, focusing on AI, software, and emerging technologies
Build and maintain DCF, comparable company, and operating models for valuation and forecasting
Collaborate with AI researchers to curate, label, and structure financial datasets used to train investment-focused machine learning models
Integrate AI-driven insights into portfolio strategy, risk frameworks, and valuation processes
Prepare investment memos, thematic deep-dives, and executive presentations for internal stakeholders and client review
Contribute to data-driven hypothesis testing and the continuous refinement of quantitative models
Ideal Qualifications
2+ years of experience in equity research, buy-side or sell-side analysis, or investment banking
Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and market dynamics
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ
Familiarity with Python, SQL, or data-labeling workflows is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate analytical insights into actionable investment perspectives
Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; CFA or progress toward itpreferred
