We are seeking a Customer Service Advisor with customer-facing experience to help us provide an exceptional booking experience. You will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of a small team, whilst developing your skills and abilities.

 

As a Customer Service Advisor at Housemates, you will be the friendly voice and main point of contact for all of our customers, both new and existing. You will engage with them through live chat, email, and phone, providing guidance and support throughout the booking process. Your main responsibilities will include delivering a high-quality experience and service and efficiently resolving issues.

 

This role is a full-time, permanent position. Due to the seasonality of student accommodation, you may be required to work flexibly. 

 

What you will do…

  • Assist new and existing customers with Student Accommodation bookings, walking them through the process and providing solutions
  • Handle objections effectively to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Think creatively to resolve issues in an efficient manner
  • Work with the bookings team to identify potential improvements to our processes
  • Support other areas of the business when required
  • Keep up to date with all product and process changes 

 

What we’re looking for...

  • Prior telephone-based customer service experience
  • A multitasker who can effectively communicate with our customers whilst navigating our CRM System
  • Experience of dealing with multi-channel communications such as web, 2 way SMS & Live Chat
  • Customer-focused mindset to deliver an exceptional service
  • Ability to effectively deal with difficult and complex telephone conversations
  • Detail-oriented and results-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers
  • Empathy, patience, and problem-solving abilities to address customer needs
