Principal AWS Solution Architect 
 
Volvo Group Connected Solutions are looking for a principal AWS serverless solution architect with experience in the automotive industry to support a major transformation project to serverless. We are only seeking principal candidate who have operationally worked as tech leads or equivalent for several years in platform teams at large companies within the automotive industry. It is important that candidate applying has extensive experience in the role of supporting development teams in making wise technical choices, creating golden paths, and designing serverless patterns. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Lead and inspire multiple parallel development teams. 
• Design and scale serverless architectures at an enterprise level. 
• Support large transformation projects within the organization. 
• Create and establish golden paths and patterns for serverless environments. 
• Migrate AWS environments to a multi-account setup and transition to GitHub. 
• Guide technical decisions and inspire developers through education and leadership. 
• Maintain and enhance AWS service portfolios, ensuring cost-effective solutions. 
 
Required Qualifications: 
• Minimum 8 years of experience in AWS Architecture. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AWS Serverless development. 
• Proven experience in platform engineering in an enterprise-scale serverless environment using Lambda and other managed services. 
• Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework. 
• Expertise in AWS service portfolio and cost structure. 
• Open Source experience. 
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Associate (DevOps certification is a plus). 
• Academic background in Computer Engineering or equivalent. 
• Automotive experience 
 
Preferred Experience: 
• Demonstrated leadership skills in technical change management. 
• Active AWS community engagement 
• TechLead experience. 
• Experience in establishing golden paths and patterns for serverless environments. 
• Experience with services like EventBridge, CloudFlare & CloudFlare workers, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, API Gateway, AppSync, Lambda, Backstage, S3, Cognito, DynamoDB, AWS Firewall Manager & WAF, AWS Aurora, CloudWatch & CloudWatch Log Subscriptions, CloudFront, AWS IAM Identity Center, AWS SCPs, AWS Organizations, OpenSearch. 
• Proficiency in languages/frameworks: TypeScript, SST, CDK, SAM, CloudFormation.
