Job Purpose
This is a three-month contract position to provide cover for the Head of Project Management. During this time your purpose will be to lead on business projects, line manage, lead and support the project management and design team. Therefore, line management experience is a must
You’re good at:
- Being meticulously organised managing multiple projects at a time, often working with multiple stakeholders at all levels
- Best-in-class communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external clients directly and ascertain their requirements to be able to present back to internal stakeholders
- Line managing a team of two project managers (UK based) and a pre-sales engineer (South African based) who provides technical integration solutions for Circus Street clients who want to integrate our training to their learning platforms
- Attends weekly client technical requests meeting and sends weekly summary to senior leadership
- Lead the design team in daily priority setting of design tasks required by the business and negotiates deadlines with internal stakeholders
- Plan design team resource requirements in weekly backlog meeting
- Lead and support on design requests when required. Ensure quality briefs are being received by the team and gather delivery requirements from internal clients, delivering them within agreed timelines.
- Lead RFPs/RFIs through a tried and tested process working with members from from new business team
- Attends monthly senior leadership meeting and provides updates on project status
- Collaborates with members of the senior leadership team to uncover and identify project opportunities that support the company mission and vision
- Shows initiative in improving business processes, driving continuous improvement
Extra nice to have:
- Working in an agile driven environment and driving continuous improvement
- Commercial experience gained from working with sales and account management teams
- Extensive prior experience in project/programme management
