Senior Java Back-end Developer Contractor or Freelancer at iesf group

We are looking for an experienced Back-end Developer to join the team of a German FinTech product company. 

If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you. As a Back-end Engineer, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve the user experience.

You are going to engage with the company as a remote working, full-time Contractor / Freelancer with an attitude for long-term collaboration.

It will be a great asset if you have some experience with Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire development lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Back-end Engineer
• In-depth understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)
• Hands on experience with programming languages like Java, and or Ruby on Rails
• Working knowledge
• Experience with GitLab (repository, CI/CD, images, packages, issue tracking)
• Experience with Kubernetes on AWS and PostgreSQL
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
