Seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineering Manager with a robust background in both backend and frontend technologies. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to drive the team to success. In the initial phase, more time will be spent in the office to immerse in team dynamics and the company’s culture.
Your key job responsibilities as the Full Stack Engineering Manager will include:
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 engineers, focusing on hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on assistance to execute product roadmaps and develop scalable, user-friendly applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Operations teams.
- Engage with merchants and partner stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and exceptional service.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to release.
- Foster a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- 2+ years of technical management experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
- High level of autonomy and responsibility.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in software design and architecture.
- Experience with cloud-hosted products (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Skilled in building mobile UI applications.
- Expertise in service-oriented, database-driven applications.
- Proficiency in Java or other OOP languages.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, React, etc.).
- Familiarity with technologies/tools like Maven, Git, MySQL, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Jersey, Jetty, etc.
- Agile methodologies and tools experience.
- Background in high-volume and low-latency systems.
- Preferred: Experience with US-based companies or exposure to US-based work environments.
