Our client is looking for a Catering Manager to lead a team of kitchen staff at a private school in Pietermaritzburg, KZN.
Key Requirements:
- A Grade 12
- At least 5 (five) years’ experience working in a similar position or environment
- Skilled and passionate about food, upmarket functions, baking and preparation of
food - Must be able to assist with menu development and function menus
- Understanding of costings, ordering and management of stock
- Delegates and leads a team efficiently, has a good understanding of HR related
matters - A clear understanding of the importance of HSE and implementation thereof
- Able to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail – especially when it comes to quality and presentation of meals
- Able to work long hours, weekends, and shift work
- Own vehicle
- Must be computer literate
