The purpose of the job is to conduct Mechanical engineering and project design activities relating to the concept, feasibility, and delivery of complex rigging, mechanical and logistics projects 

Minimum Qualification/ Requirements:-

Location: Durban (Must reside in KZN)

Must have an appropriate qualification: BTech in Mechanical Engineering or BSc Mechanical Engineering.

Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and have experience in 3D design.

Must be comfortable doing manual engineering calculations and design checks.

Must be able to work well in a team.

Must have a minimum Code 8 driver’s license.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

• Be responsible for undertaking design works and verifying solutions from an engineering perspective.
• Attend site visits to different customer sites to find solutions to customer problems.
• Produce a cost-effective and technically viable proposal to the client.
• Act as Project Manager for small projects with responsibility for the delivery and control of design solutions.
• Provide technical advice to team members and clients.

Advantageous:-

• Draughting and 3D design-related experience.
• Practical experience and know-how in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in the maritime and construction industries.
• Good understanding of mechanical methods and project management.

On-site Works:-

• Require an understanding of the OSH Act and apply it.
• Prepared to work on weekends.
