Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Buyer to join our procurement team in the consumer electronics and home appliance sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for a range of categories, developing, and implementing category strategies, and building strong relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for assigned categories, including sales and margin management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and supply chain risks to inform procurement decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and marketing
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes and practices
- Manage and develop junior team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field / Relevant tertiary qualification
- 5+ years' experience in the above role within in the electronics or appliance sector with specific experience in
- Experience with procurement technology and systems
- Experience with range management and product selection.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data, think strategically, and drive results
- Experience with category management, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Dynamic and Flexible
- Ability to work with different and all divisions in the space
