German speaking would be an advantage but not a deal breaker
Having experience with beer and breweries is an advantage
The restaurant focuses on beer and meat so a very relaxed environment but would like someone with 5 star cuisine experience
Accommodation is for own account if not residing in Namibia, however assistance will be given in finding accomodation
If it is the right candidate relocation and flights to Namibia will be paid for
A contract will be signed in paying back all costs should the candidate leave before 2 years service has been completed
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:-
To manage and lead the entire restaurant operation, both back of house and front of house.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:-
• Formal Food and Beverage Qualification
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience of which 2 years in a restaurant management position
• Knowledge of hotel accounting & financial reporting
• Excellent knowledge of Hotel Systems (Micros/ Opera)
• Excellent knowledge of local & international cuisines
• HAACP knowledge & experience will be an added advantage
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES-:
• Aligning and managing the restaurant operation to the theme/brand
• Generation and optimization of revenue
• Contributes to identifying and implementing employees training schemes to ensure that standard company operating standards and procedures and employment equity targets are met
• Be innovative in terms of the guest experience.
• Continually strive to delight guests
• Contributes to ensuring the YTD departmental profit per the budget is achieved
• Maximize efficiency in the restaurant without compromising quality
• Monitor business trends and product availability • Research new products and services to meet Outlet goals
• Assist with audit requirements of the Outlet
• Compile departmental budgets, cost projections and financial reporting
• Assist cost controller in developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing, distributing goods/ services and maintaining stock levels
• Contributes to Revenue Control by sharing responsibility for the F&B department’s financial performance and long-term sustainability
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent (or Fixed Term 24 months if Non-Namibian, based on Work Permit validity)
