Purpose of Position
- The Terminal Manager is responsible for running our complex and challenging terminal. You manage the terminal organisation (employees, processes and assets), aiming to achieve excellent safety and service performance in the short and long term.
- The Terminal Manager is a key business critical position within the Company. The job therefore demands excellence in areas such as people leadership, motivation and engagement, stakeholder management change implementation and team management.
Tasks & Responsibilities
TEAM LEADERSHIP & CULTURE
- Encourages and fosters collaboration across departments
- Drives talent management across teams by ensuring development plans are initiated and acted on. Create opportunities for people to upskill within teams and grow
- Ensure a strong training and development program, resulting in filled pipeline for succession within organisation and closing competency gap
- Initiates, supports and drives special programs targeted at employee growth
Qualifications & Experience Required
Tertiary Qualification
- Post Graduate Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) , Logistics, BTech in Operations Management
- Master’s in Business Administration will be an added advantage
Experience
- At least 10-15 years of operations/refining/maintenance experience, of which 5-10 years must have been spent in management of similar facilities
- Proven track record of achieving l excellence in a petrochemical/manufacturing/refining/terminal type of environment
