KDG is seeking a skilled and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team as an Bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping needs of our clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will work closely with clients to provide basic financial analysis and support, as well as maintain open lines of communication to address their bookkeeping needs.

 

As an Bookkeeper at KDG, you will play a vital role in helping our clients manage their finances and make informed decisions. You will bring a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills to the role, as well as excellent communication skills. Your Job

 

As a Bookkeeper, you will have a client-facing role, managing the day-to-day accounting and finance activities of clients. You will be expected to maintain accurate financial records, provide basic financial analysis, and support the management team in making financial decisions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and that financial reports are prepared in a timely manner.

You should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly. In this role, you will be expected to: 

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service
  • Accurately record and analyze financial data using accounting software and tools
  • Effectively communicate financial information to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Manage multiple clients and their financial records with precision, determining and meeting all deadlines
  • Provide valuable support to clients during financial audits and reviews
  • Issue invoices and ensure prompt collection of receivables
  • Record and deposit cash receipts, reconciling interest and principal payments
  • Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations and understand the impact of transactions on the general ledger
  • Maintain schedule of fixed assets and depreciation
  • Post journal entries and perform periodic reconciliations to ensure accuracy of all accounts
  • Maintain an organized accounting filing system and chart of accounts, following accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, mailing, scanning, and copying
  • Enter and reconcile transactions from third-party sales channels accurately
  • Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest accounting tools, technology, and industry trends

Qualifications

 

To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria: 

  • 2 + years of work experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Exceptional problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills required
  • Meticulous attention to detail, capable of executing multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in Allentown, PA office or in US home office
    • Additional nice-to-have experience:
      • CPA or bookkeeping certification
      • Experience using Zoho Books
