KDG is looking for a full-time, highly motivated Bookkeeper to join our team of financial professionals as part of our internal administrative team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date. You will also play a crucial role in shaping the financial direction of the company and play a vital role in the financial decision-making process.

Your Job 

 

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of KDG. With specific experience in bookkeeping and a clear financial career path, you will bring a unique skillset to our internal KDG projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will also be expected to provide basic financial analysis and support to the management team.

 

You will be expected to bring a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills to the role, as well as excellent communication skills. In this role, you will be expected to: 

  • Create and maintain budget reports
  • Prepare financial reports for management
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements
  • Assist with annual audits
  • Assist in the resolution of accounting discrepancies
  • Track and reconcile petty cash transactions
  • Ensure timely payment of bills, invoices and other obligations
  • Ensure that all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information
  • Provide support to the team in other ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria: 

  • 5 + years of work experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations
  • Exceptional problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills required
  • Meticulous attention to detail, capable of executing multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in Allentown, PA office or in US home office
    • Additional nice-to-have experience:
      • CPA or bookkeeping certification
      • Experience using Zoho Books
