Apprentice Electrician at Kelley Electric Inc

We specialize in building electrical systems from the ground up. We are involved in projects from the conceptual stage through the actual physical wiring to meet our customer’s needs. KEI assists with the design and installation of systems for all electrical building projects, including service sizing, lighting applications, and power wiring requirements for custom industrial control panels to operate machinery. Our practical experience enables us to select the best and most price effective products to do the job quickly and efficiently.

An apprentice will assist lead electricians in the completion of all jobs while gathering crucial experience for their career. Apprentice electricians obtain knowledge from our experienced team, learn new problem-solving skills, and gain the hands-on experience needed.

JOB DUTIES 

• Installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial electrical equipment and services

 • Determines general condition of all electrical equipment, can troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, and determine the extent of necessary repairs 

• Works with and understands blueprints, electrical schematics and job specifications as it applies to your craft 

• Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects 

• Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections

 • Applying or coordinate with backend office obtaining city permit to complete licensed jobs

 • Participating, learning, and practicing company training program

 • Managing company customer service relationship program "SUCCESSWARE" to schedule appointment with customers, and coordinate the schedule with internal dispatcher teams 

• Inventory management to keep on hand inventory at maximum 20 days 

• Reporting to Service Electrician, and dot line report to General Manager

MINIMUM REQUIRESMENTS

 • Experience required may vary by location 

• High school diploma or equivalent

 • Background check and drug screening

 • Clean driving record 

• Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions

 • Bilingual languages English/Spanish/Mandarin is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Ability to lift minimum 35 lbs. 

• Must be able to work extended hours, nights or weekends.

 • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs. 

• Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. 

• Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
