Position: Pastry Commis Chef
Key Talent Partners is seeking a creative and passionate Pastry Commis Chef to join our client dynamic culinary team a soon to be opened Italian fine dining restaurant in Kuwait.
As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to assist in the preparation and execution of a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts. You will have the opportunity to use your creativity and knowledge to develop new menu items and perfect existing recipes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing and cooking pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes
• Monitor and maintain inventory of pastry supplies and ingredients
• Keep a clean and organized work station and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to develop new menu items and variations on existing recipes
• Assist with decorating and plating desserts for presentation
• Ensure high quality and consistency in all pastries and desserts prepared
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a pastry kitchen or related culinary experience
• Strong understanding of pastry and dessert techniques and ingredients
• Creativity and ability to develop new and innovative pastry and dessert offerings
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Culinary degree or certificate preferred but not required
