Our Mission at Kudos Support

Our mission is to provide specialist, bespoke support that empowers and educates young to live fulfilling lives.

A Small Home with a Big Heart

At Kudos Support, we provide more than just accommodation — we provide a safe, inclusive and dynamic environment for young people aged 16–17 who are preparing to live independently. We create a space where young people feel safe, supported, and empowered.

As a new and growing service, we are building a team that will shape our culture from day one. If you join us now as a Senior Youth Support Worker, you will be at the forefront — helping lead the service, supporting your team, and taking an active role in building something truly meaningful. There are clear opportunities to step into management positions as we expand.

About Kudos Support

Kudos Support is a new and dynamic supported accommodation provider for young people aged 16+, focused on empowering them to build brighter, more independent futures. Our services are designed to support young people as they transition into adulthood, helping them develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes in education, employment, and wellbeing.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to grow with us as the organisation expands. We prioritise staff development and a positive workplace culture — building a secure and rewarding career while making a real difference every day.

Your Role as a Senior Youth Support Worker

You will play a key leadership role, leading a hands-on team helping young people develop practical skills, emotional resilience, and confidence they need for adulthood — while supporting your colleagues and guiding daily operations in a supportive setting. Every day brings variety, challenge, and deep purpose.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting young people to build essential life skills — from cooking a meal to managing their own money — empowering them to take control of their futures
  • Encouraging healthy routines and nurturing positive relationships that help young people feel valued, understood, and connected
  • Being a calm and steady presence during challenging times, offering reassurance and stability when it matters most
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, where young people can truly belong and thrive
  • Leading and mentoring the support team to ensure high standards of care, engagement, and professionalism
  • Coordinating shift planning, rota management, and consistent delivery of daily routines
  • Recording detailed observations, incidents, and progress, and contributing to care plans and reviews
  • Liaising with professionals such as social workers, education providers, and health teams to advocate for each young person
  • Committing to a consistent 2-on / 4-off rota, including overnight sleep-ins, to be there when young people need you the most

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working with children or young people (e.g., in care, youth work, schools, or support services)
  • QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent
  • Confidence in responding to behaviour that may be complex or challenging
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism or neurodivergence
  • Emotional resilience, leadership qualities, and a nurturing approach
  • Ability to coach both young people and your team through daily tasks and challenges
  • Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
  • A strong team spirit and commitment to making the house feel like a true home

Why Join Kudos?

  • Up to £34,560 per year, including sleep-ins
  • Early access to leadership opportunities as the service grows
  • Fully funded training and recognised qualifications (QCF)
  • Long-term career development in a growing organisation
  • 24/7 GP and mental health support for you and your family (partner and children up to 18)
  • Free counselling, wellbeing check-ins, and life guidance
  • Life insurance and access to everyday support lines
  • Retail vouchers and discounts from major brands
  • 33% off gym memberships and rewards for staying active
  • Employee of the Month prize (£50 voucher)
  • Structured rota supporting a healthy work-life balance
