We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team at a thriving Manufacturing & Retail SME. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance to support decision-making
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support ad hoc projects and analysis as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing or Retail sector
- Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of financial principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development

Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a manufacturing or retail SME
- Proven track record of providing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
- Experience in driving financial performance and supporting business decision-making
- Familiarity with accounting standards and financial regulations
- Experience in developing and improving financial processes and controls
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock management
