We are looking for a caring and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team in Paignton, starting in January 2025.
Your Impact:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be at the heart of a student's educational experience, providing the support they need to excel in their learning. You will work closely with teachers to help create an inclusive, engaging environment, where your contribution will directly impact the student's progress and well-being. Your role is not just about assisting academically—it's about making a real difference in a child's confidence and development.
This is the perfect role for someone who wants to play an integral part in a child's education while developing their own skills in a supportive environment.
Daily Duties:
- Offer one-on-one assistance to a student with specific educational needs
- Work alongside the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans
- Provide emotional and practical support to encourage the student’s full participation in all activities
- Help monitor the student's progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Engage in various school activities to help foster a sense of community and inclusion
- Assist with personal care and well-being as necessary
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for supporting children and a genuine interest in education
- Experience working with children (Essential) in an education setting (Desirable.)
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
