The Role:
As a College Cook, you will be responsible for:
- Planning nutritious and cost-effective menus within a set budget
- Preparing meals for approximately 20-30 people while accommodating dietary requirements
- Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
- Managing kitchen supplies, stock control, and food ordering
- Maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas in line with health and safety standards
- Supporting students in developing basic cooking skills alongside teaching staff
- Completing and recording all mandatory Health & Safety checks
- Contributing to risk assessments and ensuring safeguarding policies are upheld

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations effectively
- Experience in meal planning, budgeting, and maintaining food hygiene standards
