Cover Supervisor

£120 - £130 per day

I am looking for a confident cover supervisor to support a secondary school in Taunton. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with KS3,4 and 5. Those with experience in coaching and youth work or similar backgrounds would suit this. Also, those who are interested in gaining classroom experience and playing a key part in daily school life. The school has a supportive staff culture and high expectations for students.
This is a key role within the schools daily operation, providing lesson cover when teachers are absent. You should be prepared to work across KS£, 4 or 5 ensuring students remain focused and engaged. You will also support behaviour management and follow school routines. This is a great opportunity for someone with classroom experience looking to explore a career in teaching within a structured and well-supported setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of lessons
- Help manage classroom resources.
- Cover lessons when required under direction
- Work with teachers to track and support pupil progress.
- Work collaboratively with other staff
Requirements :
- Confident, reliable and able to follow instructions
- Flexible and a positive approach to teaching
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience working in secondary schools
- Effective classroom and behaviour management
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
