This school is in a lovely Central Location and therefore has great access to public transport links with Temple Meads Train station and many stops all within a 10 minute radius.
This is a well established school in Bristol and has a long standing reputation for high quality teaching and ambitious learners as well as good student behaviour. A Post 16 Centre is also a part of this school so you will be engaging with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students.
You will be supervising lessons across different subjects, keeping pupils on track with their learning and ensuring their behaviour is managed. Planning and marking are not a part of this role however being able to lead a large group of students effectively is essential.
This role suits a confident, reliable person who enjoys working with teenagers. No two days are the same, with a variety of subjects to cover from Science, to PE every day will be a new exciting challenge. Being able to quickly build rapport with pupils and show authority without being heavy handed will be a priority.
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher who enjoys working with young people and wants to further their career in education. You’ll be stepping in to deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and keep students engaged while their usual teacher is away.
