Drama Teachers

I am looking for a fun and engaging Drama Teacher to teach in a secondary school, located in Yeovil. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons that develop critical thinking , research skills and applied knowledge of the curriculum. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment with a strong academic focus. There is a clear emphasis on student wellbeing, high standards of behaviour and building independent thinkers.
The role starts in September as a permanent position. The role would suit a teacher with a genuine passion for the drama who can create stimulating lessons that make students want to join in as much as possible.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Encourage participation in classes.
- Foster an exciting and secure environment of learning.
- Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly
- Work collaboratively with the Drama and Music department as well as wider staff.
Requirements :
- QTS
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience working in secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
