EYFS Teaching Assistant / Early Years Classroom Assistant - SN15

My client, a welcoming and supportive primary school, is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a part-time, term-time-only basis. This is a temporary role until July 2025 with the potential to become permanent after a structural review. What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting Early Years learners through engaging activities and structured play.
- Assisting in planning and delivering a spiralised curriculum that revisits key concepts.
- Using visual and concrete learning resources to enhance children’s understanding.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and communication in young learners.
- Following teacher and SENDCo guidance to support children’s individual needs.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
About You
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Experience working with Early Years children in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of Total Communication strategies to support learning.
- Understanding of Emotional Literacy or Mental Health needs in children.
- Strong teamwork and initiative with a flexible approach.
