Long Term Teachers is on a hunt for an English Teacher to step in as a Cover Teacher and support Secondary Schools across Bristol In Term 3, January.

- QTS/ PGCE/ ECT or extensive knowledge of the curriculum
- No planning and marking
- £150 - £180
You will be stepping into English classrooms in Secondary Schools across Bristol, keeping pupils on track with their learning, ensuring their behaviour is managed and guiding them through pre - planned materials. Planning and marking are not a part of this role however being able to quickly build rapport with teenagers and establish authority without being heavy handed is essential.
In this role you will be guiding KS3 and KS4 pupils through their English lessons and preparing them for their GCSE exams.Guiding students through the English language and literature curriculum will be your main priority in this role. You will be delving into the fundamentals of the English curriculum from teaching grammar to analysing and annotating Literature classics and a range of Poetry. Through teaching English you have the opportunity and privilege to show young people the beauty of the language and open their minds to creativity which they can carry with them beyond the school years.
