The Role:
My mainstream client based near Cheltenham is actively seeking an experienced English Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time permanent basis, with the scope to take on curriculum lead responsibility. My client is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic subject specialist. As the English Curriculum lead you will be integral not only in ensuring students are supported and receive the highest quality education but also in providing the department and its staff with direction. Full planning and marking responsibilities are expected for the delivery of engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. You will be responsible for guiding students across a range of academic abilities, through one of their core subjects at GCSE level and a popular subject choice at A-level.

You will be joining one of the school’s leading departments, building on one of its existing strengths to further amplify the strong academic results achieved by the school. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced English Teachers looking to increase their responsibilities as well as existing English Curriculum Leads to develop their leadership skills further. This position pays a salary across the main and upper pay scales depending on the successful English Teacher’s experience £31,650 - £49,084 per annum, in addition to a TLR 1B.
