Are you an experienced HLTA or a Cover Supervisor looking for a new role?


 

A 1 form entry Primary School in the BS4 area of South Bristol is looking for a confident HLTA to cover PPA throughout their school and support children throughout the school day. 


 

This school is passionate about providing a compassionate and empathetic learning environment and a sense of belonging for their students. They expect their pupils to show kindness and to display respectful attitudes and behaviour towards others to ensure everyone feels safe in their school. 


 

The Role 


 

This position is a full-time opportunity from September. You will be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 classrooms during PPA time and to deliver Maths and English interventions to small groups throughout the week too. 


 

The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated HLTA to join their academy, to support pupils and to ensure that every child succeeds.


 

You will be expected to: 

  • Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom
  • Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
  • Create and maintain a purposeful environment, following lesson plans.
  • Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities
