A Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare are currently looking for a full-time KS1 class teacher to join their team. You will be joining a team of strong and supportive staff members dedicated to providing a curriculum that builds children’s knowledge to help build foundations within their learning. 


 

This School is a 2 form entry school which emphasises the need to teach children life long values so they may grow up to be caring, confident and respectful adults.


 

Your new role


 

From April you will be working as a Year 2 Teacher. 


 

Good knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum is desirable but not essential, as you will be provided with training necessary for you to carry out the role as successfully as you can.


 

There will be a teaching assistant in the classroom to help the teacher fulfill their needs in the classroom. They aim to provide children with knowledge and understanding of the world, through a broad and balanced curriculum and learning opportunities.


 

You will be expected to: 

  • Hold great knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Facilitate an inclusive learning environment. 
  • Ability to differentiate lessons well to ensure everyone is able to access the learning. 
  • Create an engaging learning environment
  • Work closely with the Class TA to support SEND children.
  • Provide a safe and caring learning environment for the pupils.
