We are recruiting on behalf of a fabulous Primary School in the BS32 area of Bristol, looking to appoint a full-time Year 2 Teaching Assistant starting in September 2025.


 

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is confident supporting pupils across the Key Stage 1 curriculum. The role would suit someone proactive, reliable, and committed to helping children grow and succeed in the classroom.


 

The Role 


 

The Head Teacher of this school is looking for someone with prior experience working closely with children in a school setting, play worker role, nursery or Youth Worker position. 


 

We are seeking someone who has a calm, patient and friendly presence, someone who can use their initiative to guide and support children through the day to day of school. 


 

You will be expected to: 

  • Communicate clearly with the Class Teacher about progress or misconceptions. 
  • Help prepare the classroom at the beginning of each lesson. 
  • Deliver interventions for Maths, Reading and Phonics with individuals and small groups. 
  • Build trustworthy relationships with parents, staff and pupils
