A Primary School in the BS5 area of Bristol is currently seeking a strong candidate to support a Year 5 pupil with high behavioural needs. 


 

At this three form entry school, their highly experienced teachers and staff are committed to providing a nurturing environment so that all of their children succeed. As part of a large School Trust, they are able to offer an inspiring curriculum, where they expect their children to think differently. 


 

The Role 


 

This position is a full-time role where you will be working as a learning partner, engaging and supporting a year 5 pupil who seeks consistency and individual engagement. This pupil is working within a classroom environment but sometimes seeks 1 to 1 support outside too. 


 

The Head Teacher is looking for someone who can build a relationship, be empathetic, understanding and caring, but also be engaging and able to set strong boundaries. 


 

You will be expected to: 

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities. 
  • Be adaptable to meet the needs of individuals. 
  • Work 1:1 with children and sometimes in small groups supporting interventions. 
  • Support assessment and evidencing learning. 
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
