About Us:

We are working with an inclusive primary school committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all students. The dedicated staff work collaboratively to support each child’s unique needs and foster a love for learning. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join  the school and work within their nursery class starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
  • Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of children, promoting positive behaviour and interactions.
  • Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
  • Assist with the supervision of children during playtime, lunchtime, and other school activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on children’s progress and well-being.
  • Contribute to the planning and assessment of learning activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
