Key stage 2 Teacher

Long- Term Teachers are working with a fantastic academy based in BS13, who are seeking to appoint a Key stage 2 teacher on a temporary basis from September 2024. This is a great opportunity, if you are seeking a role that will allow you to implement your skills of primary education, whilst being able to provide the highest quality of education, within a safe learning environment. 


 

The headteacher is looking for an applicant who can demonstrate to be an excellent role model, someone who is kind, caring and dedicated with a great sense of humour! The school is a mainstream environment, however they support a large number of students with SEN, who are going through EHCP. 


 

Your key duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Delivering fun and engaging lessons, following a lesson plan based around the UK curriculum. 
  • Managing classroom behaviour
  • Ensuring you are providing the best possible care and support to students 
  • To assess pupil work and progress giving regular feedback and use this to continuously inform your teaching 
  • Safeguard students and be aware of the policies 


 

About you:

 

  • Must have at least 1 years experience teaching in the UK 
  • Have a PGCE/ QTS 
  • Strong understanding of UK curriculum
  • A genuine passion for teaching 
  • Caring, patient and dedicated 
  • Knowledge of SEN 



 

This will be a part time position, working Wednesday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only. Commencing in September, this is a temporary position that can progress to a permanent position, if you are a suitable fit.
