Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Learning Mentor to support primary-aged pupils in a structured, nurturing environment. This role involves helping children engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive behaviours. This is a temporary position, with the chance to become permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional growth, and self-confidence.
- Assist with reintegration of pupils into mainstream learning or structured programs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, support teams, and families to track progress and wellbeing.
- Help plan and deliver engaging activities to support learning outcomes.
- Keep accurate records of pupil progress and interventions.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting primary-aged children in an educational or mentoring role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to challenging situations.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying pupil needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or mentoring are desirable but not essential.
