Temporary KS3 Teacher - SEMH Secondary School
Location: Swindon
Contract: Full-time, term 1
Start Date: 1st September
 

 

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Key Stage 3 Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) secondary school on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people with additional social and emotional needs.

 

About the Role:

Teaching a range of subjects across KS3

Supporting students with SEMH needs in a small class setting

Working closely with a supportive team of staff, including teaching assistants and pastoral leads

Delivering engaging, tailored lessons to meet the needs of individual learners

Managing behaviour positively and consistently

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working in SEMH, SEN or PRU settings (preferred but not essential)

A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners

This position is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful difference while gaining experience in a specialist setting.
