We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential college in Yeovil that provides exceptional education and care for students aged 16 - 25. This role is ideal for an experienced, innovative and compassionate SEN Teacher looking to empower students to achieve their full potential.

What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher who is:
- Passionate about teaching and committed to nurturing a love of learning
- Creative and practical, with the ability to design engaging and structured lessons
- Organised and adaptable, able to tailor teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Experienced in managing complex behaviours, using innovative strategies to promote engagement
- A team player, ready to contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to student success
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a high-quality, ambitious curriculum that supports students’ individual learning needs and Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
- Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that promote independent living skills, personal resilience, and academic progress.
- Act as a personal tutor to a small group of students, fostering confidence, independence, and lifelong learning.
- Work closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, care professionals, and educational specialists, to support students holistically.
- Support the college’s mission to continually improve and innovate within specialist education.
Candidates with experience in delivering or coordinating Post-16 PSHE are highly desirable, but we welcome applications from all qualified teachers with a passion for SEN education.
