1:1 Teaching Assistant SEN
We work alongside a Primary School in central Gloucester who is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with special educational needs. This is a role that is needed as soon as possible, and will involve working with a child in KS2 who has an EHCP plan, and therefore needs some additional support with their learning. This is going to be on a part time basis and will run from 8.30-12.30, Monday to Friday.
The school needs someone with good work ethic, and someone who can self-motivate. The right individual will be flexible and adaptable with their methods of support as the child may display varying behaviors and so you need to have the confidence to deal with this and respond. Previous experience of working with children is essential for this role, and it is really beneficial to have worked with SEN before. Knowledge of EHCPs is also very beneficial!
What will you need to do on a daily basis?
What has Ofsted said about the school?
“The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. You lead a dedicated staff team that is determined to provide a broad, exciting curriculum for pupils. Parents describe the school as ‘a fantastic happy place’ where pupils are ‘supported, strengthened and stretched’. You are ably assisted by the deputy headteacher, who leads many of the school’s effective teaching and learning initiatives”.
